perfect locationlively staffwarm hotel
the location was perfect I felt! the staff seemed lively and very friendly to me. the hotel looked clean and warm to me. i was able to book in a little earlier, it was lovely.
i just wanted to get a paint brush i think, it was ridiculously grubby i felt and in need of updating.

i appreciated the hotel's proximity to Picadilly Gardens and the train station. The walk was short, about six minutes. My room had a nice overall look. I found the staff helpful and friendly, ALWAYS available when needed.
i thought the absence of air conditioning was a drawback. a broken fan exacerbated the problem.

the staircase was certainly something to behold.
i booked a room without windows. i thought it would be ok, but it seemed like a panic room. also, the fire alarm went off twice during the night. i couldn't figure out what was happening and people were just laughing. it wasn't funny.

a mixed experience
uncomfortable bedfirm pillows
the lack of air conditioning made the room UNBEARABLE. even with the window open, the noise from outside kept me awake. i also found the bed quite uncomfortable. the pillows were FAR too firm for my liking.

quick check-infantastic foyerclean room
the check in was quick. the foyer looks fantastic with a dizzying view upwards. i saw the room was clean. i also noticed its great location is near the train station with trams nearby.
the windows seemed single glazed and the road outside was loud.

i saw a bar with cocktails on tap. a lounge offered deep leather sofas for relaxation. there was also a lovely dining room for breakfast including full english options and endless hot drinks.

The location was very convenient. it was close to many things i wanted to see. the room had tea and coffee available. I appreciated that.
The room didn't have an overhead light, just lamps. getting ready was difficult because of this. i also found that the room was warm with no ability to cool it. Opening windows didn't help.
